2. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that the website places on your browser or device when you visit our site. Cookies allow the site to remember your settings, cart contents and other data to improve your experience.
Legal basis: ePrivacy Directive and GDPR. For cookies requiring consent, the legal basis is voluntary informed consent under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a).
3. Cookie consent
On first visit, a cookie banner appears where you can choose which categories to allow. Necessary (technical) cookies are active by default. You can revoke consent anytime via the "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page.
4. Cookies used
4.1. Necessary cookies
Session cookie (hqaudioparts_session): session management, cart, login. Deleted when browser closes.
cookie_consent_custom: stores your consent preferences (365 days).
How we remember your choice: alongside cookie_consent_custom, we mirror your analytics/marketing choice in the browser localStorage so measurement scripts load consistently with your decision. The cookie is readable on the server; both stores work together.
4.2. Barion Pixel – Fraud-prevention cookie (legitimate interest)
Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) – legitimate interest. The Barion Base Pixel is used exclusively for payment fraud prevention and risk management by Barion Payment Zrt. Because this is not marketing or analytics tracking, it loads without requiring cookie consent and cannot be disabled through cookie settings.

4.3. Analytics cookies (consent required)
Google Analytics 4 uses pseudonymous, identifier-based measurement; reports are aggregated, but this is not the same as strictly anonymous statistics. See Google’s own privacy notice for details.
4.4. Marketing cookies (consent required)
The Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google Ads JavaScript trackers load only if you accept marketing cookies. If JavaScript is disabled, the Meta Pixel noscript image is included only when our server can confirm marketing consent; without marketing consent, no such request is emitted.
5. Third-party cookies
We currently do not embed YouTube players in the shop. If embedded media or third-party share widgets are added later, those providers may set their own cookies; you can restrict them in your browser.
6. Managing and deleting cookies
You can change your choices in the cookie banner or “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the site. Necessary cookies cannot be switched off.
