The AA-AB41164 ADC Board from Sure Electronics is a compact and capable analogue-to-digital conversion module designed to bridge the gap between legacy audio sources and modern digital systems. This booster module allows you to convert analogue audio signals into a clean digital I2S output, making it an ideal solution for upgrading vintage equipment, integrating turntables or tape decks into digital workflows, or building custom audio processing chains. Whether you are restoring a classic hi-fi system or developing a bespoke digital audio project, this board offers a straightforward and reliable conversion path.
At its heart lies the PCM1822 DAC chipset, which delivers exceptional performance with a total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) of just 0.00% and a signal-to-noise ratio of 119 dB. The board supports processing resolutions typically at 48 or 96 kHz, with a maximum sampling rate of 192 kHz, and outputs I2S at 24-bit depth for sampling rates between 44.1 and 96 kHz. Its dynamic range of 111 dB ensures faithful reproduction of audio detail. The module accepts both differential (JST PH-4) and asymmetrical (JST PH-5) analogue inputs, while the digital I2S output is provided via a JST PH-6 connector. Power requirements are flexible, accepting a DC supply from 6 to 24 volts. Measuring just 76 × 12 × 50.8 mm and weighing only 21 grams, this board is a compact and efficient solution for high-quality analogue-to-digital conversion.
