The Dayton Audio Reference RSS210HO-4 Subwoofer is a premium driver engineered to deliver deep, accurate low-frequency reproduction for discerning audio enthusiasts. Whether you are building a high-performance home theatre system or a dedicated hi-fi setup, this subwoofer excels at producing tight, controlled bass that adds realism and impact to music and film soundtracks. Its robust construction makes it equally suitable for sealed or ported enclosures, allowing you to tailor the response to your listening environment.
Technically, the RSS210HO-4 features an aluminium cone and a copper voice coil wound on a high-temperature former, ensuring excellent heat dissipation and minimal power compression. With a nominal diameter of 203.2 mm and a maximum linear excursion (Xmax) of 11 mm, it achieves a displacement volume (Vd) of 235.2, enabling authoritative low-end output. The motor system is carefully optimised, as reflected in a total Q (Qts) of 0.4, an electrical Q (Qes) of 0.46, and a mechanical Q (Qms) of 3.33, providing a well-damped response. Sensitivity is rated at 85.7 dB (2.83V/1m), while the DC resistance (Re) is 3.6 ohms and voice coil inductance (Le) is 0.99 mH. The subwoofer requires a cutout diameter of 185 mm and has a mounting depth of 126 mm, with six fixing holes for secure installation. This combination of advanced materials and precise engineering ensures controlled, distortion-free bass that will elevate any serious audio system.
